How does Choose Life work?

The Choose Life curriculum is all about empowering young people so that they can make good choices for themselves.

The Choose Life lessons are lively and interactive, using all kinds of games, discussion, and role-play to help students:

• Understand what the values of love, peace, justice, freedom, and concern for others are about - through stories from the Bible;
• Observe how these values work in the world around them;
• Apply what they have learnt to their own lives, even keeping a diary of their own choices; and
• Internalise what they have learnt - rehearsing everyday situations, and choosing these values for themselves.

It's these last two steps that make all the difference - taking head knowledge and turning it into real belief and action.

Where does Choose Life work?

Choose Life is being piloted in schools in Nairobi. When piloting is complete, the resources will be certified for use in any Kenyan primary school as part of the Pastoral Care curriculum.
